Deven Sisler

I remember my first gymnastics class vividly: at five years old I wasn't flexible; I was terrified of going upside-down; and I certainly wasn't "good at it"! So I gave up. Luckily, many years later, I ended up at Dell'Arte School for Physical Theater in Northern California, where acrobatics was a part of the weekly curriculum. I finally discovered that upside-down, among other things, can definitely be learned if you practice how to learn. I have been abundantly blessed to encounter some people who have propelled me forward on this amazing journey: Kevin & Erin O'Keefe with CircusYoga; the mind-blowing NYC AcroYoga kula; and my unconditionally supportive, while also very cool family! AcroYoga heightens my human experience on so many levels, bringing me into harmony with myself and this beautiful world we have the wonderful opportunity to experience.
