Ready to become an AcroYoga Teacher?

We believe in a world where strangers become friends.
We believe in the power of movement, connection, and play.

We can’t wait to have you at the next  AcroYoga Teacher Training! We are honored that you have chosen to apply to this Teacher Training to not only deepen your practice, but to share movement, connection, and play in your work. AcroYoga has three main roots: Yoga, Acrobatics, and Healing Arts. Our teachers often have multiple trainings in these areas, and becoming a Certified AY Teacher helps make them masters in their field.

AcroYoga International trains the safest, most innovative, and skillful AcroYoga teachers in the world. Our global community of AcroYoga Teachers spans almost every continent and brings the AcroYoga practice to every corner of the planet. If you’d like to teach in service or as a career path, the AYI Teacher Certification is the best and most comprehensive education available, with support services as you continue your teaching path. AYI Teacher Trainings are our highest offering, and reserved for the most dedicated, devoted, and passionate applicants.

We invite you to apply to one of the upcoming Trainings.

Are you ready to take the AYI Teacher Training?

As the longest running and safest AcroYoga Teacher Training program with the largest Active Teacher community, we are also the most selective, and take our pre-requisites very seriously. Our Teacher Trainings are for those who want to learn the AcroYoga curriculum to deepen their practice and ready themselves to teach AcroYoga effectively, safely, and in a most eloquent and creative way. In other words, Teacher Trainings are to learn how to teach the Acroyoga curriculum, not to learn AcroYoga or how to teach yoga.

Here are the minimum requirements to apply:

Here are the supplemental experiences that will support you, and that we look for in our Teacher Training students:

  • 50 hours (or 2 years) of practice with a Certified AcroYoga Teacher (through Classes, Workshops, Privates, Festivals, etc)
  • 50 hours of contact time with each of these practices: Yoga, Acrobatics, and Thai Massage or another healing art
  • One year of experience teaching yoga, massage, and/or acrobatics in a formal group setting

Some additional information about the application process:

Applying is free, and only complete applications will be considered. If you have questions of whether or not you have the experience, please review and if there are additional questions or considerations, please email us.  After acceptance, you will be asked to make a non-refundable deposit to hold your spot at the Training, and the remainder is due by the beginning of the Training. AYI Teacher Trainings fill fast so make sure to register as soon as possible.

Not quite there yet? Consider deepening your practice. We encourage all that apply and those interested to complete three (solar, lunar, and elemental) AYI Immersions. Coupling these experiences with practice, and studying the Solar, Lunar, and Elemental aspects of the practice through our educational materials will prepare you best.
