Training Recommendations:
It is up to you to decide what form of yoga moves you and what you want to share with your students. Becoming a yoga teacher is not a requirement to be filled to become an AcroYoga teacher, it is a vital part of knowing yourself and your relationship to spirit. Clarity and steadiness on your yoga path is what we are wanting you to find before you come to this training.
MASSAGE EXPERIENCE
At least 50 hours of formal massage training (this can be any style, Thai is ideal, with similar forms like Shiatsu and Breema a close second)
At least 25 hours of giving massage in 1-2 hour sessions
ACROBATICS EXPERIENCE
At least 50 hours of acrobatic/gymnastic training in classes/workshops/privates
(this can be in the form of adult gymnastics classes, partner acrobatics or solo acrobatics classes, or Acrobatics workshops/intensives with Jason or Jenny. The majority of the acrobatic training must be floor or partner based work, while up to 20 hours may be complimentary circus arts like aerial training etc.)
This is a training to learn how to teach AcroYoga. We are looking for teachers that have experience so we can focus our time on sharing the art of teaching, not learning the practice. There are many ways to deepen your AcroYoga practice, this is the most dedicated step.
There are special circumstances that can allow flexibility to some of these requirements. Bottom line is the more practice you have already done before you step in at this level the more you will get out of the training. We are looking for win win situations, where you get a lot out of the training and you leave with the tools to share this magic. We honor your interest and your passion for the work. We look to serve you and your community in becoming a playground for yogis to step off their mats and enjoy each others gifts.
