AcroYoga International a company that supports the global movement of playful human connection.
We truly enjoy what we do. Life balance and friendship is at the core of how we steer the ship of AcroYoga International. It fills us to know if we do a "good" job at "work" we can help millions of people get more out of their life and relationships.
AcroYoga is a social innovation that helps people from all cultures connect with each other.
AcroYoga is a progressive practice with beginning poses accessible to anyone. (Yes, anyone!) This practice is designed to reach all people—no matter your age, size, skill, or fitness level.
As a unique movement practice AcroYoga combines the balance & connection of yoga, the fitness & energy of acrobatics, and the holistic healing power of therapeutics.
AcroYoga International Co-Founders Jason Nemer and Jenny Sauer-Klein began codifying the practice of AcroYoga in 2003. Jenny's background in Circus Yoga and Contact Yoga, combined with Jason's expertise as a world-champion in Sports Acrobatics, formed a vast base of experience and an exciting realm of potential for their creativity to unfold.
Using their combined knowledge and skills, Jason and Jenny wrote the very first AcroYoga training manuals in 2004 (?). Soon after, they formed an official curriculum and certified the first group of AcroYoga Teachers in 2006.
AcroYoga Int'l has always been dedicated to building community, creating connection, and training teachers in the art of co-teaching acrobatics, therapeutics and yoga. Since those early years, AYI has taught and certified over 1,500 AcroYoga teachers around the globe.
